2010 In Review
It was super. Really. [by Issac]
2010 was a huge growth year for Kelly Creative Tech.We developed dozens of great websites for several talented designers and agencies. We took on some ambitious custom software projects, for ourselves and for our clients. Best of all, we had more fun than anyone should be allowed to have at work.
Together:
- We totally stopped taking on new PHP work and have made a switch to a Python/Django/Postgresql stack. We couldn't have done this without some kick-starting/consulting from Revsys.
- Saw greater than 100% growth over 2009
- Released our work-in-progress version of Servee, written for Django under an open source (MIT) license.
- Maintained with our clients and partners over 250 combined sites on the Servee Platform (PHP and Django versions)
- Created ShotBlox, a Blog platform for professional photographers
- Created a Real Estate engine that sits on top of Servee to provide Listings and Search for Brokers and Agents
- Launched several dozen new Servee sites and Django/Pinax powered websites and applications

Things we're hoping for In 2011:
We're expanding in several areas:
- Our work with agencies and designers is stronger than ever, and we have solid processes for meeting the technical needs of these clients.
- We are increasing full service direct-to-client work in specific areas, starting with Real Estate.
- Contract Development has become a big part of our identity, and will be expanding.
- We're making web applications, and partnering on web applications. We have several more products we're tossing around, and some will surely be released. We expect another year where we see at least 100% growth – we've hired an independent sales representative (Ryan Heffernan) and another developer (Josh Boles).
We're looking forward to seeing what happens next.
